Nativity of Christ Puppet Show


PUPPET SHOW UPDATE: You may have been expecting our “Nativity of Christ” puppet show to take place this December; however, in consideration of our 325th anniversary, we have moved the puppet show to December 2020 to add to the year’s festivities. This has been accepted by the Christmas in Newport Board, and the calendar change will fit in nicely to our end of year anniversary events. Coincidentally, 2020 is also the 50th anniversary of Christmas in Newport, so it will be an especially celebratory year.

 

 

 

Every other year our congregation gathers dozens of volunteer puppeteers of all ages together to tell the story of Jesus’ birth through the use of life-sized puppets and live choral music.  A special offering is received and shared with a family in our wider community in need of support.

Singing Participants:   Adults and youth in grades 9 and up.

Rehearsals:     Wednesdays 8:30 to 8:50 PM beginning after Thanksgiving until the performances are completed.
